Are you familiar with Eric Booth? He's really big in the Teaching Artistry field, and I think you'd relate to a lot of his ideas. Check out his book The Every Day Work of Art (not about Teaching Artists so much as it is about encountering art in every day life). His other book, The Music Teaching Artist's Bible, is also a fabulous resource -- much of it is applicable to teaching artists in disciplines other than music.
